The dialog on this page was actually pretty tough to write. There's a lot about this character that I want to reveal, but I had to keep a few details back to keep their conversation from sounding exposition-y. Hopefully the important bits are still evident here.

I'm loving the art and the story so far...
I feel the intensity of every situation.
The kind of deal the character is going through..

As much as I'm mad at the dad right now, I can understand that it's gutting to not know how to help someone. Though he has to be a man and keep trying anyway because it's his duty as both a father and family member in general. Well done in making the aunt so solid.

Reggie is certainly not somebody meant to be a role model, but he's not a villain, either. Your impression of him is more or less what I intended.
And gosh, thank you so much for all the lovely comments you left! It really made my day.

Not a problem and you made my day with this well thought out comic. I would say he's an antagonist, but as you said, not a villain. The problem with Reggie is that he lacks confidence and is a complete defeatist. He never learned to be there for himself and now, he has issues being there for someone else. It can remedied, but only if Reggie halts the pity party and be the parent rather than the child.

I totally hear you on that concern. It's tough when you have things that need to be said but it's hard to find a way for it to be natural.

If people in real life would just have long-winded expository conversations on a regular basis, I wouldn't be in this fix, but nooo, people have to have, like, nuance and junk.

It's always harder to reform in the eyes of others than in your own :(

Ah. Depends on the type of person you are. For some, self-forgiveness can be the hardest step.
